BEHIND THE SCENES OF A HERTFORDSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

 Just in case you haven’t already checked out my about me page… Hey, I’m Natalie! A Hertfordshire wedding photographer who captures light and romantic wedding photos wedding in Hertfordshire and all over the world!

Let me dive right in and give you a peek at what it’s like on the other side of the camera! You’ve properly heard me say it on Instagram or Facebook but ‘I really do have the best job in the world!’ Being a part of someones happiest day of their lives and capturing their wedding day… Well it just doesn’t get much better than that!

I know how much my couples will treasure their wedding photos for the rest of their lives and I’ll make it my goal to capture their day even better than they imagined it! It’s my number one goal to make you look and feel beautiful in front of the camera! I want to show off all of little details you’ve spent ages planning and organising!

I absolutely love all of my couples, I often make such good friends with my brides during their wedding planning process that when the wedding comes around we feel like the best of friends! I love it when my brides ask if they can have a photo of us together at their wedding! I always feel so naughty jumping on the other-side of the camera but I love the behind the scenes memories!  Ok so if you’re wondering why i’m wearing jeans and not looking my usual ‘dressed up’ self… It was freezing! On whats meant to be know as one of the hottest places in the world (The Nevada Dessert in Las Vegas)….. I was cold! Normally, I would NEVER dress down for a shoot but this time there had to be an exception! Thanks Grace for letting me wear your jeans and jumper over my playsuit!  haha

As much as I don’t like to say it, everything doesn’t always go as planned during the wedding day! With there being so many elements to a weddings something is bound to go a little differently than expected, but don’t worry, I’ll turn it into the best photo opportunity and laugh with you about it! I’ve even been known to be on hand if your wedding car breaks down! (This may have something to do with the fact I only buy white cars now) and If you happen to have a bridesmaid call in sick on your big day, don’t worry.. I’ve got you covered 😉

& MY SECOND SHOOTERS

I’m so lucky to have a small group of second regular second shooters to help me out photographing your wedding day, one of which is my soon-to-be hubby, Max!

When we started New Pixels Photo and Film, Max and I photographed every wedding together, fast forward 16 years and as the demand grew bigger for couples wanting to book us as their wedding photographers (Still pinching myself at the thought of this) So we ended up each photographing weddings on the same day!

Everyone who knows Max, knows he loves life and NEVER stops smiling, even behind the camera!

He’ll make sure your dress looks perfect! (Max makes the best dress fluffer!!) With nearly every wedding we go to there is always that guest with a good camera who sticks to us like glue… Bet you’re thinking of someone in your wedding party right now.

Watch out, though. Max might try to spend the whole day hanging out with your groom. The bro-mance is REAL. At least he’s always on hand to make sure your looking your best and like myself will do ANYTHING for the perfect photo!

When the party gets started you’ll find Max dancing with his camera at the end of the night on the dance floor!

He has the best eye for photographs and key locations! Before either of us arrive at a wedding venue or an engagement shoot we spend at least an hour wondering around and finding the best spots for couple shots, family shots and detailed shots! It makes life so much easier if we’ve drawn a road map in our heads! Even if we’ve been to your wedding venues hundreds of times before, things might have changed or we might have been there in a different season so everything is lit differently. The funny thing is no one ever really knows we do this but trust me a photographer who plans ahead is the kind of photographer you want capturing your wedding day! No one wants someone to just ‘wing’ it on the day!!  Here is Max testing the lighting before an engagement shoot at Centre Parks.

I’m so thankful that I get to call this guy my fiancé and hopefully soon my husband!

Max and I tend to photograph most of our destination wedding clients together. Next year we’re super excited to head over to Ibiza, The south of France, Portugal, Ireland and Madrid for our busiest year ever!   Please note, We’re fully booked for destinations weddings in 2020 and 2021 and have one slot available for a wedding abroad in 2022.
